Dear visitor,
I, Mr. Soumyabrata Pathak along with Mrs. Mousumi Sen wish to introduce ourselves as the co-founder of Vichitra Boutique.

Initially we started just as a retailer having a counter of our own at Salt Lake. At that time our only objective was to market our garments and expand our business to other parts of our country, which we did quite successfully for about first two years of our journey.

But as our initial objective was fulfilled, we soon realized that we have started to achieve a distinction of our own not only as a mere retailer but as an exclusive Boutique Hut whose items are distinguished markedly for its’ design, quality and price. We noticed that our customers have also developed a knack of recognizing us through our items.

It was only then we feel it from our heart that if we are to maintain the identity that we have achieved we must have a production unit of our own.

Since then for last five years we have been working with various artisans and craftsmen from different parts of Bengal and have developed connections with artisans of other parts of India too.
As you know production is not a single tier process, it demands different artisans of different skills to work upon the same material at different phases of production. Therefore in order to maintain a proper production chain all of us must perform sincerely and carefully as a whole team and must establish good co-ordination among the different groups of artisans who will work.

Otherwise the product will not satisfy the various parameters responsible for its quality and signature.

Bengal is a rich bank of skilled craftsmen but unfortunately a major part of them are really poor, and do not have any permanency as regard to their monthly income.

From our approach and relation they have understood it that the project we are going to deal with is not just our personal dream, but they will also be benefited if it runs well. It will create job opportunities among them and promote them to higher level of professionalism they have no idea of.

Their earnest response has helped us immensely and for last five years they have become a part of Vichitra Boutique.
So today Vichitra Boutique is like a large family and every member of it is equally responsible for the goodwill and admiration it has earned.

The variety of our products and their costs are maintained for all class of people so that we can reach everybody and everybody can reach us. Since last year we have also started to export our goods especially to U.K and U.S.A.

There also our artisans have won high admirations of the N.R.Is by their skills and innovation which is reflected on our each and every item.

This has exposed the global market for us, and though this is just a beginning we hope, we will confirm our place globally within next few years.
